Walter Hess, 92, resident of Cottonwood, passed away on Tuesday, March 27, 2007. He was born January 25, 1915 in Kansas City, Missouri to Sigmund and Carline (Tschopp) Hess. Walter worked along side his father at the family owned, Hess Furniture Studio in Phoenix. After the passing of his father, Walter took over ownership. He loved to play tennis, and did so into his late seventies. He also loved to play card games, especially Gin Rummy. Walter is preceded in death by his wife, Marie Hess; and his sister, Irma Armbruster. He leaves behind his son, Stephen Hess with his wife, Renate; his daughter, Alice Klies with her husband, Ray; four grandchildren, Lindsey Klies, Brett Johnston, Stacy Thompson, and Kim Danley; and four great-grandchildren, Skyler Parikh, Cameron Parikh, Sharayha Danley and Taylor Thompson.
