Walter H. Martinez

Walter H. Martinez, 70 of Sedona, passed away October 21, 2010 in Cottonwood. He was born on June 19, 1940 to Martin and Rosa (Hernandez) Martinez. Walter worked for Crown Zellerbach and Gilroy Foods in California. He attended Canyon Trails Church in Sedona. Walter enjoyed gardening and attending his grandchildren\u0027s sports events. He was a good man and was loved by his family. He had a good work ethic that he instilled in his children. Walter was preceded in death by sons Walter (Wally Jr.) and Larry and grandsons Derio Jr., Walter III and Larry Jr. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Irene of Sedona; daughters Gina Gomez of Gilroy, CA and Lisa Gomez (Sylvester) of San Martin, CA; brothers David Martinez, Cruz Martinez (Carmen) of Gilroy, CA, Henry Martinez (Mary) of Gilroy, CA, Cresencio Martinez (Lupe) of Gilroy, CA and Jessie Martinez; sisters Caroline Flores (Alonzo) of Bakersfield, CA and Lucy Perez of San Jose, CA; daughter-in-law Mandy Rodriguez of Bakersfield, CA; 16 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. Services will be held in the Habing Family Funeral Home in Gilroy, California with burial following in St. Mary\u0027s Catholic Cemetery in Gilroy.
