Wanda Arabelle Hersey, age 92, of Sedona, died in Sedona on March 10. She was born in Jerome Arizona on May 21, 1917 to William C. and Arabelle Wilkins Foy, and graduated from Jerome High School in 1936. She was a loving mother and homemaker and loved to cook and bake. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints, and more recently was very proud of the fact she gave over 500 hours of volunteer service at the Sedona Cancer Center. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Rudy J. Svob. She is survived by her second husband, Douglas Hersey, of Sedona; daughters Charlotte A. Woodford (James) of Logandale, NV and Mary E. Willett (Jay) of Phoenix, AZ; brothers Leo Foy (Marilyn) and Jack Foy (Joan) both of Duchesne, UT; and a sister Rosanna Ellis (Ray) of West Jordan, UT. She is also survived by six grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. A memorial service will be held at the Sedona Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints, 160 Mormon Hill Road, Sedona, on Saturday, March 13, at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Northern Arizona Hospice, 269 S.
