Wanda Kay Purinton, 55, resident of Camp Verde, passed away on Sunday, August 19, 2007 in Flagstaff. She was born February 28, 1952 in Cuba, Missouri to Floyd and Ruby McArthur. Wanda was employed with Yavapai County. She was a member of the Vineyard Church; where she was the Associate Pastor. Wanda took great pride in her church activities; she loved missionary work and counseling others. She also loved doing activities with her grandkids. She enjoyed family celebrations and taking trips to the mountains. Wanda was the devoted wife of Michael Lynn Purinton, they were married for 36 years. She was the beloved mother of Travis Purinton with his wife, Stephanie of Cottonwood, A.J. Purinton with his wife, Tara of Camp Verde, and Jennifer Chambliss with her husband, Dustin of Cottonwood. Wanda was the sister of Deane McArthur with his wife, Macey of Missouri, Arnold McArthur with his wife, Helen of Arizona, and Elaine Modisett with her husband, John of Arizona; and the adored grandmother of 8. A Memorial Service will be held in her honor at the Camp Verde Baptist Church on Saturday, August 25, 2007 at 10:00am. In honor of Wanda, contributions can be sent to the Vineyard Church, 810 B W.
