Wanda Jean Strinker

June 10, 1920 — September 4, 2008

Wanda Jean Strinker, 88, resident of Cottonwood, passed away on Thursday, September 4, 2008. She was born June 1, 1920 in Cheyenne, Wyoming to Ben Hilton and Euginia Marguriete Chamberlain. During her high school years, Wanda and her sister would sing duet to the theme song, "Please Lend a Little Ear" for Channel 10, KOY, KTAR, and Fox Theater. She was an artist and a collector; she enjoyed sewing, reading, and traveling. Wanda was an outstanding homemaker and her love for her home and garden was evidence of such. She was a lovely lady with a wonderful sense of humor. She was a loving mother and grandmother, a dear sister, and a sweet friend; she will be deeply missed by those who loved her. Wanda is preceded in death by her husband, Joe Strinker; her brother, Warren Chamberlain; and her parents. She leaves behind three daughters, Marilyn Peek of Sedona, Pamela Duncan with her husband, James of Washington, and Suzanne Evans with her husband, Dan of Cornville; her brother, Loren Chamberlain with his wife, Patricia of California; her sister, Iona Webber of Phoenix; six grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. No services are planned at this time. Memorial Donations can be sent to the American Cancer Society, 2724 East Lakin, Suite 9, Flagstaff, Arizona 86001.
