Ward Peterson, 62 of Cottonwood, passed away on September 29, 2012. He was born on July 18, 1950 in Phoenix, Arizona to Ward and Gwendolyn Peterson. Ward attended Loma Linda School for 8 years then Camelback High School for 4 years. He was a self-employed framing contractor in the Verde Valley from 1980 to 1999 then he became owner and general contractor of Peteco Construction Inc. for 20 years. He was Vice president of Verde Valley Contractors Association for 10 years and a member of Quail Unlimited. Ward enjoyed hunting with his buddies, turkey hunting with his wife and especially enjoyed taking his wife and boat to Alamo Lake for fishing with friends. Ward was preceded in death by his parents Ward and Gwen. He is survived by his wife of 11 years, Pam of Cottonwood; granddaughter Montana Ridder of Scottsdale, AZ and brother Bart Peterson (Susie) of Cave Creek, AZ. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at 2:00pm at the Peterson Residence, 520 Pebble Cr. in Cottonwood.
