On Thursday August 8, 2013 in his home with his family by his side in Clarkdale, AZ, Wendell Dee Russell (Wendy), 76, went to be with his family in Heaven. He was born on September 11, 1936 in Clemenceau, AZ to Oscar Burrell Russell and Virginia Marguarette Purtymun. He grew up in the Verde Valley with his two siblings. He went to work for Arizona Game \u0026 Fish in 1953 and was there for 16 years. He joined the Arizona Department of Transportation in 1971 and worked 16 years until he eventually retired. After retirement he spent a lot of time watching sports and raising his grandchildren. He was an amazing grandpa that was adored by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Wendy took pride in watering his trees and honeysuckle. He liked when summer rolled around so he could plant his container garden. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years Carolyn Sue Russell (Fuller). Son Wendell B. Russell Sr. (Clarkdale) Daughter Teri L. Russell.(Clarkdale) His grandchildren Christopher W. Russell (Holly)(Goodyear, AZ) Wendell B. Russell Jr.(Bree) Crista M. Russell and Jacob D. Russell.(Clarkdale, AZ) Great-grandchildren C.J. Russell and Celeste Russell.(Goodyear, AZ) He is also survived by his brother Lawton Russell and sister Peggy Pigg. He went to join his mother and father Burrell and Virgie. As well as his daughter Debra Sue Russell and son William Wade Russell. There will be a viewing at Westcott Funeral Home (1013 E.
