William O. Barnett Jr. of Cottonwood died on Wednesday, October 16, 2013. He was 95 years old. He was born on November 11, 1917 in Raton, NM to William O. Barnett Sr. and Rebecca Ann (Johnson) Barnett. William served his country during WWII as a machinist mate 1st class in the Navy. Later he worked for Babbitt\u0027s Trucking in Flagstaff until 1955 when he went to Watson Bros., which later became Yellow Freight Systems, until his retirement in 1982. He enjoyed fishing, spending time with his family and traveling with his wife in their motorhome. William was preceded in death by his parents, William Sr. and Rebecca and by his son, James William Barnett. He is survived by his wife of 74 years, Louise Barnett of Cottonwood. He is also survived by his son, Marvin Leroy of Kingman, AZ; his daughters, Maxine Louise of Phoenix, AZ, Martha Ann (Lou) of Alaska, and Marilyn Ruth (Charles) of Kingman, AZ; 11 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, located at 1377 E. Hombre Dr. in Cottonwood, AZ at 11:00 AM.
