William Foster Boggs, 79, resident of Cottonwood, passed away on Saturday, March 3, 2007. He was born June 23, 1927 in New York City, New York to Howard L. and Marretta Boggs. William was a United States Marine Corp Veteran, having served as a Staff Sergeant. He worked for Mountain Bell for 35 years, and he also worked as a tour guide for Tuzigoot. William was also involved with the first All-Indian Rodeo, the School Board, and the Chamber of Commerce in Winslow, Arizona. His interests included aviation and woodworking, but he found his greatest joy in his family and friends. He was a loving husband and father, and a devoted friend. He is preceded in death by two brothers, Phillip and Richard Boggs. He leaves behind his wife of 56 years, Georgia Boggs of Cottonwood; his son, William G. Boggs with his wife, Mindy of Valparaiso, Indiana; his sister, Jacquie Boggs of Kutztown, Pennsylvania; and four grandchildren. William was a Senior Warden at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Clarkdale, where a Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, March 7, 2007 at 10:00am.
