William Hoover Brand, 83, of Cornville, AZ passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 2005. He was born on October 4, 1922 in Oak Park, Illinois. He attended two years at Purdue, and served in World War II. He was a retired architect having owned his own architectural firm with his father Brand-Brand Architects and specialized in designing churches and college buildings. He was also affiliated with the Jac Jan Shops located in Tucson and Sedona, AZ. Mr. Brand was a member of the Red Rock Church of Sedona. He collected stamps and coins, and enjoyed woodworking and RVing. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Jacqueline C. Brand; a son and daughter-in-law: Scott and Charlotte Brand of Cornville; a brother John Brand \u0026 family of Edwards, Colorado; sisters: Martha Henderson of Edwards, Colorado, Peg Inglis of Venice, Florida, and two grandchildren. His best friend was his dog Mac. There will be no services for Mr. Brand in the Verde Valley but plans are being made for a memorial service in his hometown of Western Springs, Illinois sometime in July.
