Willie A. Simpson

Willie A. Simpson, 96, of Clarkdale died September 9.He was born May 14, 1909 in Hodges, Texas. Mr. Simpson was a retired operating engineer and previoulsy had worked as a cowboy, mechanic and as a carpenter. He was a Baptist and a member of the Pinnochle Club. His enjoyments were playing cards, RVing, Camping, fishing, playing with his great-grandchildren and resting in his lazyboy. He is survived by his wife, Faye Hahn; a daughter Freda Steele of Cottonwood; a sister, Alma Caperton of Normangee, Texas; three grandchildren, Paul Simpson, Laura Simpson and Keith Steele; three great-grandchildren, Katrina Steele, Kristie Steele, and Keenan Steele. He was preceded in death by his wife Olive Marie (Dean) Simpson and a son, Billy Simpson. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 24 in the Westcott Funeral Home at 11 AM.
