Zeck Willie Raney

Zeck Willie Raney of Cottonwood passed away on Tuesday, August 19, 2014. Zeck was born on June 29, 1928 in Lawn, NM to Joe Willie and Tishia Evdoshia (Marchbanks) Raney. As a young man he fought in WWII in the Merchant Marines. Later he did a variety of things including working in a grocery warehouse, as a truck driver, a traveling salesman, a farmer and a backhoe operator. Zeck belonged to the Gospel of Faith Church in Ashfork, AZ and he loved backhoe work, traveling and just being outdoors. Zeck was a very caring and loving husband and father and he will be greatly missed. Zeck is survived by his wife of over 45 years, Rosalie Raney of Ashfork, AZ; his sons, Gary Alan Raney of Prescott Valley, AZ, Jeffery Lynn (Cathy) Raney of Ashfork, AZ, Phillip Kyle (Bonnie) Raney of Ashfork, AZ, William Troy (Kelei) Scroggins of Avondale, AZ and Michael Lloyd (Desiree) Scroggins of Desert Hills, AZ; his daughters, Sherry Rebecca (Keith) Drumheller, of Lott, TX and Connie Elizabeth (Garry) McDonald of Cottonwood, AZ; 15 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Services will be held on Sunday, September 7, 2014 at 1:00pm at the Gospel of Faith Church, 43750 Bullock Road, Ashfork, Arizona.
