Zella Couch

Zella Couch, 85 of Cottonwood, passed away at her home on January 23, 2012. She was born on February 23, 1926 in Elm Spring, SD to George M. Harwood and Zilva Walthall. Zella attended Wasta High School. She was in 4-H for a year. She was a housewife and a Baptist and enjoyed crafts, camping, fishing, crochet and needlepoint. Zella was preceded in death by parents Zilva and George; sons Myron Couch, Lewis Couch, Donald Couch and Ronald Couch; sisters Emma Sanstevens and Wilma Eisenbraun and brothers Alvin Harwood and Virgil Harwood. She is survived by son Delbert Couch of Tygh Valley, OR; daughters Iona Clark of Cottonwood, Ellen Swler of Yakima, WA, Gwenda Paris of Cottonwood and Theresa Couch of Cottonwood; brother George Harwood of Riverside, CA; sister Zora Berry of Rapid City, SD; 19 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
